Mission Statement

Vision
To work vigorously to ensure that local government is accountable, accessible and responsive to all the people of Dudley.

Mission

The Principles and Beliefs of the Town Committee are as follows:

THAT the preservation of our Nation and the security of our citizens depend upon the Constitution, the laws, and the courts, and that respect for them is the responsibility of every individual and elected official.

THAT all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, amongst these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

THAT the right of the individual to pursue happiness does not guarantee happiness. Individuals have the right to be themselves and pursue their dreams as long as they respect the rights of others in the process.

THAT basic human dignity is the right of all men, women and children. No individual or group has the right to seize the life or dignity of those who are helpless, innocent or cannot defend or speak for themselves.

THAT those who cannot truly provide for themselves should be assisted by both government and society, but that every effort should be made to help them become self-supporting, productive citizens with pride in the independence so long as it does not violate the US Constitution.

THAT it is in our Nation’s best interest to promote and support the union of Man and Woman, thru the institution of Marriage, for the creation of Life and the assurance of future generations of Americans.

THAT equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity belong to all, regardless of race, creed, age, sex or national origin.

THAT the cornerstones of our Nation are responsible citizens. Individuals who take responsibility for their actions, their lives and their families.

THAT the United States of America is our home and must always remain one unified nation of states. Efforts by those to destroy the continued unification of our nation or to bring physical harm upon our nation or its citizens will be opposed.

THAT it is absolutely essential to maintain a strong national defense in order that we may at all times negotiate from a position of strength, not weakness, in our continuing efforts toward world peace and friendship. Only a strong America can remain a free America.

THAT the government activities should be limited to those things which people cannot do at all, or cannot do so well for themselves so long as it does not violate the US Constitution.

THAT the most effective government is government closest to the people… and that which is least involved in the way we live, worship, socialize and raise our families.

THAT government is accountable for maintaining sound money and a responsible economy. Individual rights, liberties and properties are continually eroded when citizens are oppressed by excessive taxation, inflation, government waste and over-regulation.

THAT the US Constitution guarantees all American Citizen’s the right to private gun ownership and those rights should not be infringed by the Federal, State or Local Governments.
